■The main draw for the singles tournament which begins on the 30th was held. In the first round, Kei Nishikori (JPN) will face No. 2 seed Frances Tiafoe (USA), currently ranked No. 8 in the world. Sho Shimabukuro (JPN) will take on No. 46 Denis Shapovalov (CAN), while Rei Sakamoto (JPN) will face No. 37 Matteo Arnaldi (ITA). Defending champion and top seed Carlos Alcaraz (ESP) will play Alex Michelsen (USA), while No. 3 seed Taylor Fritz(USA) and No. 4 seed Rafael Jodar (ESP) will both face qualifiers in the first round.

■In the draw, chips bearing the players’ numbers were placed face down and drawn one by one to determine the matchups. Nishikori’s chip was the last one left, meaning he was drawn against the No. 2 seed, setting up his first-round match with Tiafoe.

■The doubles draw was also completed. In the first round, the Japanese team of Shintaro Mochizuki and Seita Watanabe will face the top seeded team of Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori (both ITA). Rinky Hijikata (AUS) and Kaito Uesugi (JPN) will take on Luciano Darderi (ITA) and Tomas Martin Etcheverry (ARG).
